Who doesn’t love putting on a movie and relaxing under some blankets? Everyone needs some down time to unwind and de-stress. However, there’s more to comfort than being physically comfortable. Many of us like to relax and wind down physically after a long day. And there’s no problem with that. But, what about being comfortable mentally? What about being too comfortable?
Allow me to explain. We wouldn’t want to go a whole week without being physically active. Ideally, we should do something physically challenging whether it’s working out, going for a long walk, playing a sport, going on a hike, etc. All these things would be considered the opposite of being comfortable. Challenging our bodies means getting out of our comfort zone in that realm. It means putting yourself under stress so it can adapt and come out of there stronger than before. We all know this.
