Conrad’s Weekly Rhythms 2

Here are this week’s tunes that have been in my speakers. It’s spring and the nicer weather has been giving me lots of energy to go outside and have some fun. And the music below is a great compliment to match and amplify that energy. Most of these songs are remixes from already popular songs. However, these remixes do a really good job of keeping the core magic of the original song while adding in other interesting sounds. The problem with a lot of remixes is that they overdo it. They turn an already good song into an EDM overloaded mess of sound. With remixes of songs that are already good on their own, it’s important to keep and not tamper too much with the magic that makes the song good in the first place. Keeping that in mind, then add in a little (not too much) EDM-like sounds. Compliment the song with new beats, don’t take over the song with an entire new sound. Ok, enough is enough. Here is the list of songs that have been in my speakers from the following week.

  1. Dreams (Gigamesh Remix) – Fleetwood Mac
  2. Mr. Brightside (Two Friends Remix) – The Killers
  3. Scar Tissue (N’to Remix) – Red Hot Chili Peppers
  4. Help Me Lose My Mind – Disclosure
  5. Is This Love (Montmartre Remix) – Bob Marley
  6. You Make Me Feel Good – Satin Jackets
  7. With Or Without You (TEEMID Remix) – U2
  8. Peach – Broods

If you’re looking for a strong summer playlist for the beach or just relaxing outside with your mates, look no further. Add these to your list. I’ve already gotten some “whoa, who is this?” comments amongst my friends. If anyone has other great summer upbeat songs/artists, drop them in the comments below. Hope this helps.
